The same golf swing, taught to two different types, produces completely different results. Understanding this is the key to unlocking your potential.

An A1 golfer (rotation-based), trying to copy Tiger Woods' A2 (linear) swing mechanics:

The same A1 golfer learning type-appropriate techniques from Adam Scott's or Hideki Matsuyama's swing:
This is why two golfers can receive identical instruction, yet one thrives while the other struggles. It's not about talent or effort—it's about the match between training and innate body type.

Your body already knows how it wants to move – we help you discover it. Find out which of the four types you are.
Inner Forefoot | Cross

Rotation-based and diagonal (Cross) – Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama are often classified as A1 types. Your swing thrives on dynamic weight shifts.
Outer Forefoot | Parallel

Precise and vertical (Parallel) – Tiger Woods and Ben Hogan are often classified as A2 types. You rotate around a vertical axis, almost “on the spot”. Your swing is compact and repeatable.
Inner Heel | Parallel

Grounded and stable (Parallel) – Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy are often classified as B1 types. Your axis is the back foot. Your swing is consistent and reliable under pressure.
Outer Heel | Cross

Powerful and dynamic (Cross) – Phil Mickelson and Jack Nicklaus are often classified as B2 types. Diagonal movement with a large weight shift delivers maximum distance.

How Hiroto's theory is transforming golf at the highest levels
Shinichi Yokota was a promising JGTO pro who won his first tour event, the ANA Open, in 1997. But after that victory, he went 13 years without another win – despite keeping his tour card. Everything changed when he met Hiroto and discovered he was a B2 type who had spent his entire career training with A-type techniques.
“I spent 13 years copying other players' swings. When I finally understood my own body type and stopped fighting against my natural movement patterns, everything clicked. I no longer had back pain. My drives went further. And in 2010, I won my second tour event – the Canon Open. I wasn't more talented than before. I was finally moving the way my body was built to move.”

Our son Nikita plays in the youth squad – at 10 years old with a handicap of 14. With so much passion and intensive training, it was clear: He needs the right athletic training. But many methods didn't fit. Too complicated, too generic, not tailored to his body.
Together with his squad coach Sascha Sommermeyer, we found an approach that changed everything: Training that fits the individual body. Shorter training time, higher effectiveness, less injury risk. We realized: Not just our son needs this – every golfer does. Because especially in amateur golf, athletic training is often underestimated. Yet this is exactly where the key to better performance and healthy play lies. That's why we built Golf4Stance.
